Position Overview
The Area Revenue Manager is responsible for guiding property teams to maximize RevPAR and RevPAR Index through effective management of room inventories, market mix, and pricing strategies. Additionally, the role involves working with hotel teams to focus on Total Hotel Revenue Management in support of Aimbridge Hospitality's financial goals. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of hotel revenue management experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong problem analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in data compilation and manipulation.
- Ability to perform numerical analysis, draw conclusions, and develop solutions.
- Excellent communication, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively to achieve results.
- Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and group settings.
- Highly analytical with comfort in data manipulation.
- Willingness to drive both strategy and implementation, adaptable to vertical and horizontal movement.
- Leadership qualities that leverage team talents and foster collaboration.
- Ability to identify and utilize emerging trends and technology to generate revenue.
Responsibilities
- Monitor competitor pricing, local market dynamics, and demand generators.
- Analyze monthly and weekly STAR Report results to understand and influence RevPAR Index changes.
- Stay informed on industry and local market trends.
- Collaborate with marketing to create demand during peak periods and develop strategic marketing offers.
- Utilize Evolution Hospitality's proprietary technology to enhance results.
- Lead development of pricing and market mix strategies.
- Develop strategic tactics based on historical data and current trends.
- Participate in the annual RFP process for negotiated accounts.
- Assist in developing and executing strategic and operational plans for the hotel.
- Analyze market trends and communicate insights to sales teams.
- Manage group pricing strategies, preferred patterns, and need periods.
- Perform displacement analysis to support group sales decisions.
- Oversee group cut-off dates, block shortfalls, and overages.
- Train sales and front office teams on revenue management principles and tools.
