Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8-13 students to support academic, emotional, and social growth. The role starts with nine days on, followed by three off, and transitions to a placed home with the same group.

Qualifications include experience with youth, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. The position offers comprehensive benefits and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
