Job summary

Tommy Bahama in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dynamic front-of-house leader to cultivate a learning and nurturing environment that drives sales and guest satisfaction.

You will develop and implement recruiting and mentoring strategies, oversee training programs, manage restaurant expenses, and uphold safety and company policies—creating a clean, safe, upbeat environment for guests and team.

Qualifications

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required - frequently.
• Routine standing for duration of shift.
• Safely maneuvering hand cart, blenders, knives and other tools.
• Shifts scheduled by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success, and internal career growth.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants, including but not limited to proactively recruiting and mentoring the team.
• Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Manage individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance.
• Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment.
