Job summary

Santander seeks a Markets Analyst to support the SCIB Markets Financing team in the U.S., focusing on TRS, repo, margin lending, and other secured financing products. You will work with sales, trading, risk, and operations to analyze transactions and manage client activity.

You will build models, dashboards, and tools using Python and Excel, while supporting pricing, financing terms, and portfolio monitoring in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with advanced Excel.
• Programming and data-analysis skills, including Python, or similar tools, with an interest in building practical desk tools and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring, pricing, and execution of TRS, margin lending, repo, and other financing transactions for U.S. clients.
• Assist in developing client relationships and preparing client materials.
• Analyze transaction economics, collateral, liquidity, and risk factors.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, collateral values, and counterparty risk; ensure desk analytics.
• Build and enhance models, dashboards, and automated processes to improve pricing and risk management.
