You will shepherd fast-paced daily news with context and analytical depth, while developing revelatory features and collaborating with product and tech teams to reach a broad, engaged audience on all platforms.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in business journalism.
• Proven ability to edit complex market stories and guide reporters.
• Strong sourcing, data analysis, and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Journal’s coverage of markets news, managing a team of reporters at a high level.
• Develop ambitious feature story ideas with reporters and collaborate with newsroom stakeholders to orchestrate their publication.
• Line edit stories with the help of a deputy editor.
• Work with reporters to cultivate sources across the investing world, including traders and fund managers.
• Guide reporters to contribute incisive posts for WSJ Live Markets, our widely-read platform for real-time markets coverage and analysis.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to develop products that put WSJ markets coverage on the map with a wider audience.
