Job summary

Polymarket is seeking an experienced Analytics/Markets Analyst to own the analytical layer behind market design decisions. You will model liquidity dynamics, manage liquidity rewards programs, and build dashboards to measure market health across dozens of markets daily.

You will drive end-to-end analyses from scoping questions to actionable outputs, and collaborate with non-data teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where accuracy and speed matter.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in analytics, data science, market operations, or exchange strategy.
• Expert SQL with ability to query high-volume transaction and order-book data.
• Strong Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and large datasets.
• Deep knowledge of market structure: order books, spreads, liquidity, market design tradeoffs.
• Ability to reason about incentive design for rewards programs.
• Experience owning analyses end to end, from scoping to actionable outputs.
• Comfort in a non-data team environment, setting own priorities.
• High accuracy bar for numbers that drive payouts.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment with changing business logic.
• Plus: experience at a prediction market, trading firm, or fund close to market structure.
• Plus: familiarity with automated market makers, CLOB, or DeFi exchanges.
• Plus: experience building or evaluating liquidity incentive programs.
• Plus: familiarity with on-chain data or blockchain analytics.

Responsibilities

• Model liquidity dynamics to identify drivers of healthy order flow and inform liquidity rewards.
• Own analytics behind liquidity rewards and rebates, including payout sizing and market depth.
• Build and maintain recurring reports on market health, volume, liquidity, spread, and participation.
• Audit new market listings against historical data and recommend actions.
• Diagnose underperforming markets to identify root causes.
• Track coverage against competitors and identify critical gaps to close.
• Develop frameworks for evaluating what makes a market work and apply consistently.
• Partner with Markets weekly to scope data questions and deliver decision-ready outputs.
• Identify data collection gaps and collaborate with engineering to close them.
• Own documentation end-to-end for clarity and usability.
