Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to bridge the finance team and the data warehouse, building and owning the reporting layer for close, forecasting, and board reporting. You will analyze how fees, incentives, and promotions flow through to revenue and retention in a fast-moving crypto-driven platform.

You'll work with finance on monthly closes, create recurring reports, and ensure accuracy, partnering with analytics engineers to model data for investor reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/financial analysis with production reporting experience.
• Expert SQL across transaction-level data and reconciliation
• Python or R data science background with causal inference or predictive modeling
• Knowledge of general ledger structures, accruals, and revenue recognition
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse
• Commitment to accuracy and ability to reconcile reports before publishing
• Ability to translate between finance and engineering to explain business logic

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the financial reporting layer in our data warehouse.
• Reconcile general ledger data with platform activity.
• Translate raw transaction, fee, and trading data into clean financial reports.
• Analyze fee structures and their impact on volume, revenue, and trader behavior.
• Measure ROI of incentives and promotions and retention impact.
• Partner with finance on monthly close, variance analysis, and forecasts.
• Replace ad hoc requests with recurring, modeled reports.
• Write end-to-end documentation for reports and models.
