Job summary

Gaia is expanding its Marketplace and seeking a merchant to recruit sellers from Gaia’s member base, drive awareness, traffic, and conversion, and build the store from the ground up on campus in Louisville, CO. You’ll own the seller pipeline end to end, curate the assortment, set pricing, and collaborate with marketing to boost discovery and sales.

This build role requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset, with responsibility for merchandising, lifecycle

Qualifications

• Merchant instincts — know what will sell, to whom, and how to present it.
• Experience building the supply side of a marketplace or creator platform.
• Strong direct-response marketing skills, especially lifecycle and email.
• Comfort with marketplace mechanics: liquidity, take rate, cold-start, curation vs. scale.
• Judgment to protect Gaia’s brand that members trust.

Responsibilities

• Fill the store by recruiting sellers from Gaia’s membership and onboarding them to listings.
• Own the seller pipeline end to end: outreach → onboarding → first sale → repeat.
• Build the assortment: categories, quality bar, messaging.
• Set pricing and take-rate strategy; help sellers price and present well.
