Job summary

Nielson Construction is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our brand and growth team as a true hybrid contributor: roughly half graphic design, half marketing generalist. On-site in Harrisburg, SD, you will design materials for homes and communities, coordinate ad buys, and support PR and events.

A strong design portfolio with at least 3 years’ experience and a sharp eye for branding are required, with growth opportunities as the department expands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience with a portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent.
• Strong eye for brand consistency, layout, and typography.
• Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design marketing materials across print and digital — brochures, flyers, signage, email templates, and sales collateral for homes and communities.
• Apply and maintain Nielson's brand standards (logo usage, color palette, typography) consistently across every asset.
• Create design support for our internal real estate team — listing materials, community maps, floor plan graphics, and signage.
• Support branding work across the Nielson portfolio, including community and sub-brand identities.
• Keep multiple concurrent projects moving on deadline.
• Coordinate and traffic advertising — send creative and media buys to outside vendors, manage specs, placements, and deadlines.
• Manage marketing projects end-to-end, from brief to execution, coordinating internal stakeholders and outside partners.
• Support social media execution and coordination with our outside social media agency.
• Assist with public relations efforts — media inquiries, and community/event visibility.
• Contribute ideas and execution support to marketing strategy and campaign planning.
• Support our internal real estate team with marketing collateral, listing promotion, and event or signage needs.
• Help maintain the marketing calendar and track status across all active projects.
