You will design and implement workflows across platforms like Adobe Workfront Fusion and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensure reliability of data flows, and maintain governance standards.

Purpose: The Marketing Technology Consultant will serve as a key technical resource for Athene’s marketing technology ecosystem, owning automation, integrations, data governance and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. This role combines strategic advisory work with hands-on execution—identifying opportunities to improve how Marketing works, developing the business case and implementing solutions that drive measurable results. Partnering across Marketing, IT and external vendors, you’ll help ensure our marketing technology stack is integrated, reliable and positioned for continued innovation and growth. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with emerging technologies, including AI assistants and agents, while establishing the governance and standards needed to scale solutions responsibly. Accountabilities:

• Serve as a trusted marketing technology advisor, partnering with Marketing, IT and external vendors to evaluate technology investments and deliver system integrations, APIs and automation solutions.
• Build, execute and optimize automation workflows across marketing platforms, including Adobe Workfront Fusion and other marketing automation and orchestration technologies.
• Identify, test and implement AI-enabled solutions—including AI assistants and agents—to improve marketing performance, personalization and operational efficiency while applying appropriate governance and human oversight.
• Own the reliability of marketing systems, integrations and data flows by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes and implementing scalable improvements.
• Establish and maintain data governance, documentation, QA and testing standards that improve data quality, system reliability and team self-service.
• Stay current on emerging marketing technology and AI capabilities, using critical thinking, creativity and a bias for action to recommend and implement solutions that create meaningful business value.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience integrating, managing or optimizing marketing technology, automation, digital analytics or related technology ecosystems, or relevant experience, preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with marketing technology and integration platforms such as Adobe Workfront Fusion or comparable orchestration tools, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM/CMS technologies, AWS or similar platforms, with working knowledge of APIs and data formats such as JSON.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency with SQL, JavaScript and HTML/CSS, combined with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot data, systems and workflow issues and identify root causes.
• Experience evaluating technology or process opportunities, building business cases and translating complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment, adapt as needs and technologies evolve, and apply AI fluency, creativity and sound judgment to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Adobe Workfront Fusion, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AWS/data lake environments, Tableau or comparable platforms.
• Agile delivery methodologies.
• Testing or optimizing AI assistants, agents or other AI-enabled marketing solutions.

Relevant certifications such as Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager, Salesforce Administrator or automation platform certifications are beneficial but not required.
