Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing the Intrepid brand across the USA. As part of our collaborative and dynamic USA Marketing team, this role will suit someone who is curious, motivated and has a strong track record of delivering results.

As the Marketing Specialist, you’ll help execute our marketing strategy across the USA through the development, organization and implementation of campaigns that align with Intrepid’s brand and deliver results. The role has a strong focus on leading tactical and brand campaigns end-to-end, as well as identifying partnership opportunities to reach new Intrepid audiences through well-aligned brands, tourism boards, media platforms, corporate partners and more.

From conception to execution, the role will initiate conversations, manage relationships, create marketing briefs, review proposals and marketing assets, deliver content within timelines, coordinate events, track post-campaign performance and manage marketing administration. The role also includes people management of one direct report.

This role will be in the USA consumer marketing team, and will communicate regularly with the leadership team. Collaboration is key to success, and this role works closely with PR, industry, product, creative studio, legal, commercial and other teams across global and regional functions. The role will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with the goal of growing brand awareness, increasing database acquisition, driving enquiries, and ultimately contributing to sales and conversion growth.

Intrepid has recently launched a travel collaboration with REI Co-op, and this role will be a key team member in delivering this partnership. You will work closely with REI to manage the day-to-day relationship, drive marketing activity that supports sales growth, and ensure seamless collaboration between Intrepid and REI’s internal teams. This includes coordinating marketing activity with operations, legal, customer service, and executive stakeholders on both sides to deliver shared goals.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Seattle, with a hybrid work schedule. You will be required to work from our downtown Seattle office a minimum of three days per week. This role may require domestic and international travel.

The salary range for this role is USD $85,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience and skills. In addition to competitive pay, we offer great benefits and some amazing perks because we believe in supporting our people both at work and beyond.

A passion for travel is a must-have! With it you’ll bring:
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated experience delivering marketing campaigns across online and offline channels, as well as brand collaborations and/or content partnerships.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, navigate competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with accurate and efficient administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn and use new software, digital platforms, and marketing tools.
