The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Kentucky is seeking a Marketing Specialist to execute marketing tasks and provide administrative support to the Marketing team. Duties include data entry, email campaigns, entertainment booking, promotions planning, signage coordination, and vendor communications.

You will maintain calendars, process invoices and purchase orders, manage promotional inventory, and assist with direct marketing efforts.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year progressive experience in Marketing, Communications or Customer Service.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office equipment.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must pass pre-screening and background checks.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain Kentucky gaming/racing license.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist provides execution of Marketing tasks and administrative support to the Marketing team. Duties include, but are not limited to, data entry, leading the email communication process, entertainment booking, promotional planning, leading kiosk programming, purchasing promotion items, inventory, and coordinating signage. Vendor communication, as related to the above tasks, is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides overall backup and support to the Marketing Department with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns.
• Promptly and professionally answers in-bound telephone calls and e-mails, directs sales calls, and takes/delivers messages appropriately.
• Assists with property promotions as needed and is familiar with all Marketing activities and events, both on property and at community events.
• Accurately inputs marketing invoices in departmental shared files and verifies coding on all marketing invoices.
• Researches and negotiates with vendors to ensure the best pricing on marketing collateral/materials. Manages promotional inventory and coordinates storage and delivery to the promotional area.
• Prepares and logs all purchase requests, purchase orders, and check requests for the Marketing team.
• Orders marketing office supplies and other materials as needed.
• Assists Database Coordinator/Manager with generating offers/target lists for direct marketing initiatives.
• Assists Graphic Coordinator in the creation and production of promotional and property-wide signage and ensures promotional signage is current. Assists Graphic Coordinator in the placement of such signage. Orders specialty signage from vendors as required.
• Reviews and monitors company website and updates/edits when necessary, including band schedules and promotional information.
• Has a working knowledge of the property and keeps management informed of any misinformation or outdated material.
• Books live entertainment at the discretion of the Marketing Director/Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating entertainment schedules and entertainment contact log, confirm booking dates and times, and ensure entertainment guidelines are received by all new entertainment acts
• Promptly and professionally answers in-bound telephone calls, directs sales calls, and takes/delivers messages appropriately
• To provide BIG Service to internal guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
• The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
• The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings.
• Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
• Assist with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
• Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent, preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 1-year progressive experience in Marketing, Communications, Customer Service role.
• Must be 21 years or older
• Basic Microsoft Office skills required and knowledge of modern office equipment.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
