Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Guest Service Associate to deliver superior guest experiences and promote PENN Play benefits across events and promotions. You will enroll guests in rewards programs, assist with on-site and off-site activities, and maintain accurate guest records.

The role requires at least an AA degree (preferred) and 1+ year of guest service experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year Guest Service experience or equivalent.
  • Moderate to high level computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, etc.).
  • Flexible and willing to work any shift.

Responsibilities

  • Provides superior guest service by actively engaging guests with a friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of PENN Play benefits, the PENN Play app, current promotions, events, and offers.
  • Promotes PENN Play and other PENN products by enrolling and educating guests on benefits and features.
  • Assists guests with understanding and using PENN Play benefits and features.
  • Establishes new player accounts and maintains accurate player data in line with procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of the property, including outlets, hours, events, promotions and guest offerings.
  • Responds to guest questions and resolves concerns professionally and equitably.
  • Escalates issues to Marketing Manager when necessary to ensure resolution.
  • Assists with planning, setup, execution and breakdown of on-site and off-site promotions and events.
  • Works with Marketing to ensure materials, prizes, and supplies are prepared and positioned on time.
  • Maintains confidentiality of player information and adheres to policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of all levels of PENN Play benefits, the PENN Play app, current promotions, events, food specials, and other offers.
  • Actively promotes PENN Play and other PENN products by recruiting, enrolling, and educating guests on the benefits, features, and value of available programs and services.
  • Encourages adoption and usage of the PENN Play app and assists guests with understanding and utilizing available benefits.
  • Establishes new player accounts and maintains accurate player database information in accordance with established procedures.
  • Develops and maintains the technical skills necessary to effectively utilize patron data systems and other departmental technology.
  • Processes and redeems Direct Mail offers and issues appropriate promotional prizes to eligible guests in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of all the property, including food and beverage outlets, hours of operation, entertainment, promotions, and other guest offerings in order to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Responds to and assists in resolving guest questions, concerns, opportunities, and conflicts in a fair, professional, and equitable manner.
  • Escalates guest issues to the Marketing Manager or other appropriate department personnel when necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintains open communication with the Marketing Manager.
  • Assists with the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of on-site and off-site promotions and special events, including but not limited to tournaments, drawings, and other marketing events.
  • Works collaboratively with the Marketing team to ensure all materials, supplies, prizes, and other items required for promotions and special events are prepared and positioned appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Follows all established policies, procedures, and guidelines for each promotion, event, and marketing activity.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of player information, including but not limited to names, addresses, contact information, level of play, wins, losses, visit history, and other personal or gaming-related information.
  • Adheres to all corporate, property, and departmental policies, procedures, operating guidelines, and regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of all Marketing Services functions and supports departmental initiatives as needed.
  • Remains patient, professional, and positive at all times while communicating clearly, effectively, and enthusiastically with guests and team members.
  • Assists the Marketing Manager and other department personnel with projects, programs, promotions, and other duties as assigned.

  • Associate's degree (AA.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of one year Guest Service experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • Must have moderate to high level computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).
  • Must be flexible and willing to work any shift.
