Job summary

HNTB in Lake Mary, FL, Miami, and surrounding areas seeks a Proposal Manager to lead and write qualification packages and manage pursuit schedules. You will partner with pursuit champions to monitor progress and produce compelling content for major infrastructure bids.

Colleagues from technical teams will collaborate to craft clear, compliant messages; you will coach on presentations and facilitate strategy meetings to drive win rates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with 8 years of experience, or 12 years without a degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint and other communications software.
• Experience leading pursuit teams to develop win strategies and graphics addressing client needs.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Lead and assist with oversight of proposal activities, including leading proposal support staff teams. Manage proposal schedules and deadlines, develop proposal outlines, and partner with the pursuit champion to monitor the progress of proposals.
• Lead and write qualification packages, proposals and leave‑behind material for pursuits.
• Collaborate with technical staff and write, review, and edit original content for clarity, compliance, and key messages.
• Work with pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including partnering with national resources to drive HNTB’s sales approach and provide business intelligence on clients, competitors, and HNTB.
• Organize and may facilitate pursuit strategy meetings.
• Lead the pursuit team during the presentation phase, including presentation coaching.
• Organize and coach technical staff in the presentation phase.
• May lead strategic initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and 8 years of relevant experience, or
• In lieu of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications‑related software programs.
• Experience working with pursuit teams to research and develop actionable win strategies and graphics that address client needs and meet strategic goals.
• Persuasive writing and editing skills to create compelling, grammatically correct copy for proposals and branding materials, improving proposal organization, readability, completeness, and clarity.
• Coordinating writing and graphics support services to achieve pursuit objectives and meet deadlines, performing quality and compliance reviews.
• Experience preparing presentations and providing presentation/interview coaching to effectively use meeting time to obtain critical information.
• Facilitating discovery and strategy meetings.

What We Prefer

• AEC industry experience.
• Proposal development experience.
