Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a dynamic Promotions / Marketing staff member in San Diego to lead and supervise promotions activities, coordinating events and direct mail campaigns to attract retail and database customers.

The role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, budget support, and collaboration with the VP or Marketing Manager to ensure successful promotions and events while protecting regulatory compliance and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of administrative or special events/promotions experience required, preferably in Marketing.
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and executes all retail promotions, direct mail promotions, regularly scheduled entertainment acts and special events to target retail and database customers while supporting compliance to departmental budget.
• Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
• Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
• Coordinates internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainment for all appropriate departments; coordinates with Graphic Artist/Designer to properly fulfill all printed material requirements for promotions, special events, entertainment, and VIP parties.
• Analyzes the effectiveness and success of promotions, special events, entertainment and VIP parties.

• Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to promotions staff/function in the Marketing department.
• Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
• Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.

• Supports the efforts and projects of the VP of Marketing and/or Marketing Manager as requested.
• Coordinates internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainment for all appropriate departments; coordinates with Graphic Artist/Designer to properly fulfill all printed material requirements for promotions, special events, entertainment, and VIP parties.
• Analyzes the effectiveness and success of promotions, special events, entertainment and VIP parties.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
