We're looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented Marketing Program Specialist to support and strategize on our global paid search campaigns across various platforms. This is a high-visibility role in the Global Digital Marketing Team, perfect for someone with hands-on paid search experience and who is ready to take their career to the next level.

Have an impact across the entire organization

You'll be responsible for supporting and optimizing search campaigns that drive Brand Awareness and measurable pipeline growth for our security and cloud businesses. From Google Ads to Bing to Youtube, you'll lead initiatives to drive performance, improve conversion rates, and support integrated go-to-market strategies in close partnership with demand generation, content, and analytics teams.

As a Marketing Program Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Marketing Program Manager with planning, executing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Bing, and other paid media platforms to drive qualified B2B leads
  • Collaborating with External Agency and Platform account teams supporting paid search and social
  • Supporting global digital strategies focused on Account-Based Marketing (ABM) targeting key accounts and driving pipeline growth
  • Supporting keyword strategy management, ad copywriting, bidding tactics, A/B testing, and landing page optimization
  • Partnering with internal cross-functional teams (Growth, Field, Sales, SEO, Creative, Content, etc.) to align marketing initiatives with broader business goals
  • Monitoring performance metrics (CTR, CPC, CPL, ROAS, etc.) and deliver actionable insights with clear recommendations
  • Reporting on campaign performance using platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar tools
  • Staying up to date on search engine algorithms, privacy regulations, and B2B digital marketing trends

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience managing and executing paid search campaigns, with a track record in B2B tech or agency environment and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
  • Have familiarity with Google Ads, Bing/Microsoft Ads, and Youtube
  • Have experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics (GA4), Search Ads 360, Similarweb, or similar SEM platforms
  • Have an understanding of B2B marketing funnels and lead generation tactics
  • Have analytical skills with the ability to translate data into performance optimization strategies
  • Have attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have knowledge of display, retargeting, or paid social campaigns as part of a broader SEM strategy
  • Have experience working cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams
  • Have a curious mindset and eagerness to learn- continually exploring new marketing trends, tools, and tactics
  • Demonstrate support to the team by conducting competitive research and summarizing key findings to inform campaign planning and messaging

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $58,800 - $122,200/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
