Full-Time in United States Remote (any location) - Associate - $63k - $68k

Sefaria , a nonprofit organization dedicated to building the future of Torah in an open and participatory way, seeks a full-time Marketing Production Coordinator to lead and orchestrate all email and other Sefaria digital productions.

Position Overview

The Marketing Production Coordinator is a remote, full-time, exempt position in the U.S. that provides key marketing and communications support for the implementation of Sefaria’s day-to-day external communications, as well as major projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes email best practices and is equal parts organized, detail-oriented, and creative. As the staff member in charge of sending emails to tens of thousands of people each week, among other things, the Coordinator should enjoy careful, precise tasks and take pride in delivering high-quality results. The Coordinator must be proficient in using technology and able to carry out complex tasks both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

The Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team (especially the Communications and Editorial Director, and Communications Specialist, who direct and write Sefaria's emails, social posts, etc.), as well as members of the Development team in the execution of their external communications.

This is a full-time, remote position based in the US, with preference for applicants based in Central or Mountain Time. This position reports to our Marketing & Communications Project Manager.

In this position, you will do the following:
  • support email campaigns by setting up content in our email marketing platform (occasionally using basic HTML), sending tests, proofreading, testing links, conducting visual QA, and scheduling emails in coordination with our editorial calendar
  • strategize, implement, and track A/B testing of emails, in collaboration with our Communications and Editorial Director
  • support the Database Administrator in the creation and maintenance of email lists and segmentations
  • collaborate with the Database Administrator on communications reporting
  • maintain and update email templates in ActiveCampaign
  • manage the workstream in Unbounce, our tool for landing pages, pop-ups, and banners
  • support Sefaria’s virtual store through monitoring, vendor communications, and customer service
  • support the Communications Specialist by scheduling and monitoring social media posts using Sprout
  • provide general administrative support to the Marketing & Communications Department and complete other tasks as needed

Experience, qualifications, and requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields; nonprofit experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • A combination of relevant work experience and education to successfully perform the responsibilities outlined in this description.
  • HTML knowledge, strongly preferred.
  • Strong English-language writing and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms (Sefaria uses ActiveCampaign).
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience using project management software such as Trello, preferred Proficiency in working with the technology in an online work environment including GSuite, Slack, Zoom, Trello (training will be provided, as needed).
Compensation
  • The annual salary range for this position is $63,000-$68,000, depending on experience.
  • Sefaria offers six comprehensive medical insurance options, three of which are covered 100% by Sefaria for employees.
    • Sefaria contributes an additional small amount towards premiums for dependents on certain plans.
  • Vision insurance is available as a voluntary benefit; Sefaria employees pay 100% of premiums for themselves and for any enrolled dependents.
  • Generous paid time off, including 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, approximately 9 Jewish holidays, and 10 federal holidays annually, and full closure for Passover.
  • Paid parental leave ranging from 8 - 13 weeks.

Location
  • The Marketing Production Coordinator can live anywhere in the US, with a preference for those living in Central or Mountain time zone.
