  • Act as the last line of quality control on anything going out the door to a client
  • Build and present clear, regular performance reports that translate data into insights and next steps
  • Use analytics tools to track performance and surface optimization opportunities
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within campaigns and bring them to clients and leadership
  • Partner with creative, content, and production teams to align on briefs, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support sales/business development on scoping and proposals for existing and prospective clients

Marketing Manager, Client-Facing

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Pay Range: $2,500 - $3,000/mo (varies based on skill set and experience level)
Search Location: Latin America, South Africa, or the Philippines
Work Location: REMOTE

Client Overview

We are a content marketing studio specializing in award-winning brand storytelling. Clients include Netflix, HBO, Marvel, EA, People, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, Bon Appétit, CNN, Teach for America, SoFi, Lattice, Intuit, CVS, and more.

To fully embody our values, we look for and empower team members who are:

  • Left & Right Brained: Combining creativity with systematic problem-solving
  • Ambitious: Growth-oriented and self-directed
  • Community-Driven: Building community through authenticity, inclusivity and transparency
Role Overview

We're looking for a Marketing Manager, Client-Facing to own marketing strategy and execution for a portfolio of client accounts. This is a hands-on, generalist marketing role: you'll build the strategy, run the campaigns, manage the paid media budgets, and be the marketing voice clients hear from directly.

This is a remote role open to candidates based outside the United States, with the ability to work US time zones.

You’ll work closely with US-based teams, so strong written and spoken English, comfort leading client conversations independently, and ability to attend client meetings in US time zones are essential — this is not a behind-the-scenes execution-only role.

Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing point of contact for an assigned portfolio of client accounts
  • Lead client meetings, check-ins, and quarterly/strategy reviews — presenting plans, performance, and recommendations directly
  • Translate client goals and briefs into clear marketing strategies and measurable campaign plans
  • Manage scope, timelines, and expectations proactively, flagging risks before they become problems
Marketing Strategy & Planning
  • Develop multi-channel marketing strategies (earned, owned, social, paid, Youtube) tailored to each client's audience and objectives
  • Build campaign plans with clear goals, target audience, channel mix, budget, timeline, and KPIs
  • Use market research, competitor analysis, and audience data to inform strategic recommendations
  • Continuously refine strategy based on performance and changing client priorities
Campaign Execution & Paid Media
  • Plan, launch, and manage campaigns across paid and digital channels
  • Own paid media budgets end-to-end: targeting, bidding, and ongoing optimization against goals like CPA and CTR
  • Coordinate with creative and content teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and on-brief
  • Act as the last line of quality control on anything going out the door to a client
Reporting & Analysis
  • Build and present clear, regular performance reports that translate data into insights and next steps
  • Use analytics tools to track performance and surface optimization opportunities
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within campaigns and bring them to clients and leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with creative, content, and production teams to align on briefs, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support sales/business development on scoping and proposals for existing and prospective clients
  • Contribute to internal playbooks, templates, and best practices as the marketing function scales
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing strategy, digital marketing, or campaign management (agency or client-side)
  • Direct client-facing experience: presenting strategy, leading meetings, and owning the relationship
  • Proven track record executing multi-channel marketing campaigns end-to-end, from planning through reporting
  • Strong digital marketing fundamentals: SEO/SEM, email, content, and analytics
  • Advanced/professional English proficiency, written and spoken — comfortable leading calls, presentations, and written communication independently with English-speaking clients
  • Expected to work US hours
Bonus Experience
  • Experience in entertainment, media, gaming, or podcasting (or an entertainment-adjacent industry)
  • Agency experience, especially managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Experience presenting to senior or executive-level client stakeholders
  • Hands-on paid media experience (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or similar), including budget management and optimization
Desired Characteristics
  • Enjoys client management: Builds trust quickly and enjoys building and managing a variety of client relationships
  • Strategic: Starts from the client's business objective, not the channel or tactic
  • Data-driven: Comfortable moving between strategy conversations and campaign dashboards
  • Organized and detail-oriented: Can manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and budgets without things slipping
  • A proactive communicator: Over-communicates rather than under-communicates, especially important across time zones and a remote setup
  • Resourceful and self-directed: Comfortable owning a client relationship with limited day-to-day oversight
Additional Details
  • Flexible PTO policy and paid sick time
  • Full-time, remote independent contractor role
