JOB PURPOSE: The Marketing Manager is responsible for strategic planning and managing the marketing activities to achieve company initiatives and objectives. Liaison with division satellite offices to provide regional marketing development and supportDuties and Responsibilities:Create and establish strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives for products and servicesDevelops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market shareGenerate and monitor department budgetPlan and oversee execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signageNegotiates contract terms and communicates with outside agencies and suppliersManages development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support marketing programsAnalyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectivenessPlans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased salesOversees customer database and approves the use of internal and external distributions (e.g. thank you notes)Reviews analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product developmentProvides post-event reports, analysis and regular status reports on sales and marketing programsPlans, promotes, and executes department meetings and community and goodwill events; participates in division sales meetingsEstablish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and eventsProvide web site managementParticipate and provide input to product development initiatives; create new product, enhancements to current product, introducing new home features.Develop and maintain Corporate Sales and Marketing Policy and ProceduresManage model decorating processes and maintain furniture inventoryOther duties as assignedKnowledge and SkillsMust be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organizationMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demandsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsValid driver’s licenseEducation and Work ExperienceCollege degree in marketing, sales, journalism or business and 3-5 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experiencePrior experience with new home construction organization (including sales, marketing, strategic planning, development, research, promotions and/or advertising)
