Job summary

  • Proficiency in Mac design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of print industry, pre-press, and designing for print projects.
  • Strong knowledge of office software; ability to work all shifts and weekends; 21+ and NM driver's license; pass pre-employment background checks and obtain gaming license.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for implementing and assisting with the annual marketing strategy and initiatives including but not limited to advertising, social media, promotions and marketing programming, web content, and direct marketing campaigns. This position is responsible for all aspects of marketing initiatives, the locals programming, and special events, live promotions, managing and maintaining property databases, and assisting with marketing strategies directed by the Director of Marketing.

Note: Native American preference will be given.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.

Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service-oriented environment.

Write reports and business correspondence.

Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment & Mac environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).

Work different shifts; weekends included.

Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Administration or a related field, three years of experience in marketing, graphic design and promotions field in the gaming industry or equivalent experience of combination and experience.

Experience in Graphic Design.

  • Experience with Aristocrat, Micros POS and Atrient/Everi Kiosks preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Administration or a related field, three years of experience in marketing, graphic design and promotions field in the gaming industry or equivalent experience of combination and experience.

Knowledge of print industry, paper specifications, pre-press, press proofing/experience in designing for a variety of print projects.

Advanced knowledge and proven experience working in a Mac platform with Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Fetch, and other programs as required.

Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.

  • Strong concept development skills in use of fonts (typography), color, composition, proportion, digital rendering, and hands‑on experience in a variety of signage.

Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service-oriented environment.

Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment & Mac environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).

Must be able to work all shifts and weekends.

Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the Coordinators, Representatives, Managers and Designers in the Promotions, Players Club Special Events/Entertainment and Graphics Design departments, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. The supervisor provides guidance and assistance in addressing unusual situations that may arise, particularly those without clear precedents or requiring interpretation of policies and regulations. Following initial training, the Marketing Manager is expected to perform duties independently, demonstrating proficiency and autonomy in task execution. Regular spot checks are conducted to evaluate accuracy, adequacy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and policies.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds. The work environment includes a variety of setting the following: food, oils, and cooking surfaces. The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.

Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
