Job description

A Rare Opportunity to Make Marketing Your Own at NJ's #1 Mid-Market Investment Bank

Are you a marketer who sees opportunities others miss, loves turning ideas into action, and wants to see the impact of your work?

The DAK Group is seeking a talented, hands-on Marketing Manager who brings together creativity, analytical thinking and technical expertise to help shape and drive our marketing and business development initiatives.

At The DAK Group, we believe exceptional work starts with exceptional people. As a boutique investment banking firm, we offer something special: a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where ideas are welcomed, contributions are recognized and people genuinely enjoy working together. You'll work closely with senior leadership, have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and be part of a team that values initiative, creativity and excellence.

This is not a role for someone who simply checks campaigns off a list. We're looking for a marketer who takes ownership, thinks independently, challenges conventional approaches and knows how to turn data, insights and creative ideas into measurable results.

Reporting directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, you'll play an important role in advancing our marketing and business development efforts. This is a hands-on position with broad exposure to digital marketing, content development, CRM, email campaigns, social media, website management, analytics and business development initiatives.

You'll be equally comfortable creating polished presentations and marketing materials, analyzing campaign performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and exploring emerging technologies, including AI, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and the evolving world of AI-driven search.

If you're looking for more than your next marketing job, and want a place where you can contribute, grow, be heard and genuinely enjoy the people you work with, this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze campaign performance across email, website, social media and other marketing initiatives.
  • Build and interpret CRM and marketing reports, connecting performance metrics to actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend testing strategies, audience segmentation and changes based on results.
  • Use data to help determine where marketing resources and efforts should be focused.
CRM & Database Marketing

CRM & Database Marketing

  • Maintain and segment prospect, client and referral-source databases.
  • Create targeted lists and reports from the CRM.
  • Create and manage lead nurturing and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Look for opportunities to improve database quality, segmentation and campaign effectiveness.
Email Marketing

Email Marketing

  • Create and launch newsletters, alerts and targeted email campaigns.
  • Monitor opens, clicks, engagement and other performance metrics.
  • Recommend subject-line testing, segmentation, content changes and other ways to improve results.
Content & Social Media

Content & Social Media

  • Help create and repurpose thought leadership, articles, white papers and other marketing content.
  • Write and develop social media posts, primarily for LinkedIn.
  • Manage a consistent social media presence and evaluate engagement and performance.
  • Bring ideas for new content and campaigns.
Presentations & Marketing Materials

Presentations & Marketing Materials

  • Independently create polished, client-facing PowerPoint presentations for clients, prospects and internal use, applying strong visual and editorial judgment.
  • Develop and update marketing collateral for both digital and print.
  • Apply strong visual judgment to layout, imagery, typography and overall presentation.
Website, SEO, GEO & Digital Marketing

Website, SEO, GEO & Digital Marketing

  • Update and maintain content on the company’s WordPress website.
  • Apply basic SEO principles when developing and updating website content.
  • Stay curious about GEO, AI-driven search and digital discovery, with a willingness to learn how they can strengthen marketing effectiveness.
  • Monitor website activity and use analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Marketing Planning, Coordination & Project Management

Marketing Planning, Coordination & Project Management

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date marketing calendar covering email campaigns, social media, events, content, website updates and other key marketing activities.
  • Manage multiple marketing projects from planning through completion in a fast-paced environment, establishing timelines, coordinating deliverables, adapting to changing priorities and proactively addressing issues to keep projects moving and ensure deadlines are met.
Research

Research

  • Conduct company, industry and market research using online resources and databases.
  • Organize findings and develop concise reports and recommendations.
What We Are Looking For
  • 4+ years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in professional services or B2B.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Professional services or B2B marketing experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn marketing data into actionable recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems and the ability to create reports and segment data.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign analytics.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently create sophisticated, professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Experience developing and executing social media campaigns, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Must have hands-on experience using WordPress.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and website analytics; interest in GEO and AI-driven search (prior GEO experience is a plus, not required).
  • Basic familiarity with AI tools and a strong curiosity about how AI can improve marketing, research, content development and audience discovery.
  • Strong visual sense and the ability to create attractive, professional marketing materials.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, energetic and confident taking ownership of projects.
  • Curious and proactive—someone who asks questions, identifies opportunities and brings forward ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting things done.
The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You're more than a marketer who executes campaigns. You take ownership, think strategically and care about results. You want to know what worked, what didn't, why it mattered and how to make the next initiative even better.

You bring creativity and analytical thinking together. Whether you're developing a compelling email campaign, creating engaging social content, building a polished presentation or uncovering insights in CRM data, you know how to turn information into something meaningful and effective.

You're naturally curious about what's next. AI, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and emerging marketing technologies excite you because you recognize their potential to change how businesses connect with their audiences.

Above all, you're a self-starter who makes things happen. You take initiative, bring ideas and solutions to the table, embrace new challenges and take pride in delivering exceptional work. You enjoy collaborating with talented people but don't need someone looking over your shoulder to keep things moving.

Just as importantly, you contribute to a great culture. You value teamwork, bring a positive attitude and understand that doing exceptional work and enjoying the people you work with should go hand in hand.
