Job description

Marketing Manager
Brave Books LLC Conroe, Texas, United States
About this position

ABOUT BRAVE BOOKS
At BRAVE Books, our mission is to secure the hearts and minds of the next generation when they are the most malleable, before the harmful agendas of this world can try leading them astray. We do this by creating faith- and values-based stories, TV shows, games, and resources that equip families to raise the next generation of courageous, truth-filled leaders. We publish bold, meaningful content every month—from picture books and chapter books to graphic novels, TV series and more—all designed to captivate children and support parents in the battle for their kids' hearts and minds.

ABOUT BRAVE CULTURE
At BRAVE Books, we've built a team of reliable, relentless high-performers who are loyal to the mission, driven to win, and selfless in execution. We hire individuals who show up hungry, take ownership, and grind with consistency—the kind of people who carry more than their share without needing the spotlight.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Own the conversion funnel. Turn attention into revenue. Obsess over the numbers.

Every Brave Books launch succeeds or fails based on conversion. A YouTuber drives attention to a landing page. The landing page converts that attention into orders. Our email sequences, paid ads, and bundles either make that conversion rate 15% or 3%.

We have creative campaigns and strong conversion ops. What we need is someone who obsesses over why conversions work, tests ruthlessly, and squeezes every dollar of return from every dollar of spend.

What you'll actually do:

  • Campaign management across channels. For each launch, you'll oversee email sequences, landing page optimization, ad spend allocation, and promotional calendar. You'll make sure every channel is working together, not cannibalizing each other.
  • Conversion rate obsession. A landing page is either good or it's not. You'll A/B test headlines, bundle structures, social proof, urgency mechanisms, and call-to-action. You'll understand why a 2% conversion rate improvement actually means $50K more revenue over a campaign window.
  • Email automation and segmentation. We have 500K+ subscribers. You'll design email sequences that reach the right people with the right offer at the right time. You'll test subject lines, send times, and offer structures to maximize opens, clicks, and conversions.
  • Paid ads and ROAS. Whether it's Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube, you'll own ad spend allocation. You'll know which targeting audiences actually convert, which audiences are dead weight, and when to scale winners.
  • Analytics and reporting. You'll build dashboards that show the real metrics: customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, return on ad spend, and email conversion rates. You'll know what's working and what needs to change fast.
  • Cross-functional partnership. You'll work with product (to understand what we're actually selling), with ops (to understand fulfillment and cost), with creative (to understand what messages resonate), and with sales (to understand what's moving the needle).
  • Test and learn culture. You'll run constant experiments. Most will fail. That's fine. You'll extract learning from each one and apply it to the next campaign.

What we're looking for:

  • Numbers person who understands people. You love spreadsheets and funnels, but you also understand that people make emotional decisions. You think strategically about psychology, not just metrics.
  • Ruthless prioritization. There are infinite tests to run. You'll say "no" to 90% of ideas because they won't move the needle. You focus on high-impact opportunities.
  • Self-directed and resourceful. You don't need hand-holding. You'll take a campaign brief, identify the real questions, design the tests, implement them, and report back without checking in every day.
  • Bias toward action. You'd rather run a test with 70% of the information and learn than wait three weeks for perfect data. You believe fast learning beats slow perfection.
  • Bonus: E-commerce or direct response background. Email marketing experience. DTC launch campaign management. YouTube or creator economy fluency.

Why you'd want this job:

You see real impact. A 1% improvement in conversion rate literally moves the business. You'll run 30+ campaigns in a year, so you'll learn fast and iterate constantly. You work directly with leadership on strategy and with the team on execution. You get to build something that compounds — the systems and learnings you create will make every subsequent campaign better. If you believe marketing should be measurable, data-driven, and accountable, this is the right place.
