POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Marketing Department while leading the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Ambassador team. This position manages promotions, tournaments, giveaways, special events, the Cedar Crossing Discovery Club, player benefits, and direct mail offer development while ensuring marketing initiatives are executed efficiently and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:

Marketing Operations

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Marketing Department.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute promotions, tournaments, giveaways, and special events.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives are executed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop departmental procedures that support operational excellence.

Discovery Club & Player Benefits

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Cedar Crossing Discovery Club.
  • Ensure team members provide exceptional guest service during player enrollment and loyalty interactions.
  • Coordinate player benefits and promotional offers that encourage visitation and loyalty.
  • Monitor guest participation and recommend program enhancements.

Direct Marketing

  • Coordinate the development of direct mail offers and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with database marketing and other departments to ensure accurate execution.
  • Evaluate offer performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support the planning and implementation of targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Ambassador team.
  • Schedule staff to support daily operations and special events.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and outstanding guest service.
  • Work closely with Player Development, Entertainment, Casino Operations, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
  • Assist with annual marketing calendars, budgets, and departmental reporting.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships related to promotional items and events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, and responsible gaming practices

Other Responsibilities

  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Three (3) or more years of marketing, promotions, casino operations, or hospitality management experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience planning promotions, special events, and guest loyalty programs. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain and maintain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must have ability to:

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Sit or stand for extended amounts of time.

Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May manage subordinates who may supervise Team Members. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
