Fat & Happy Beverages is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead brand development, trade education, digital marketing, retail execution, and field activations across on-premise, retail, e‑commerce, and events.

Qualifications

  • Experience in beverage marketing, brand management, wine and spirits sales, trade marketing, or brand execution.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and spirits industry, market trends, events, and key players.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; WSET or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Brand and product expert, maintaining knowledge of heritage, tasting profiles, points, trends, and competition.
  • Build relationships with distributors, retailers, restaurants, trade partners, and industry professionals; conduct market visits.
  • Lead product education, tastings, presentations, and staff trainings to strengthen brand knowledge and advocacy.
  • Manage day-to-day marketing across digital, social media, retail, print, trade, and e-commerce channels (Amazon and Shopify).
  • Create and coordinate presentations, sales tools, flyers, signage, POS materials, product content, imagery, and marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate with designers, print houses, agencies, and vendors; maintain brand assets and timelines.
  • Plan and execute trade shows, tastings, festivals, sponsorships, retail activations, demos, and brand events.
  • Manage event and demo calendars, retailer requirements, staffing, agencies, samples, promotional materials, inventory, and follow-up.
  • Represent brands with media, trade organizations, influencers, and industry partners; identify PR, sponsorship, partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and account opportunities; communicate relevant market feedback.
  • Track brand and marketing KPIs, placements, activations, sales trends, and market activity; provide monthly performance recaps.
  • Manage budgets for marketing, advertising, events, and activations by brand; include vendor costs and expenses.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, hands‑on Marketing Manager to lead brand development, trade education, digital marketing, retail execution, events, and market activations. This position will oversee three primary areas: Fat & Happy Beverages, ARARAT Brandy, and Karas Wines, while supporting the company’s broader portfolio. The Marketing Manager will serve as a key brand expert and spokesperson across on-premise, retail, trade, e-commerce, digital, and event channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, computer and graphic savvy, knowledgeable about the wine and spirits industry, and comfortable balancing creative execution, brand development, trade relationships, digital marketing, budgets, vendors, and field activations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Management & Trade Development

  • Serve as a brand and product expert, maintaining strong knowledge of product heritage, tasting profiles, key selling points, market trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, restaurants, trade partners, and industry professionals while conducting market visits to support menu, shelf, display, and other placement opportunities.
  • Lead product education, tastings, presentations, and staff trainings to strengthen brand knowledge and advocacy.

Marketing, Digital & Creative

  • Manage day‑to‑day marketing across digital, social media, retail, print, trade, and e‑commerce channels, including Amazon and Shopify.
  • Create and coordinate presentations, sales tools, flyers, signage, POS materials, product content, imagery, and other marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate with designers, print houses, agencies, and vendors while maintaining organized brand assets, marketing files, and project timelines.
  • Plan and execute trade shows, tastings, festivals, sponsorships, retail activations, demos, and other brand events.
  • Manage event and demo calendars, retailer requirements, staffing, agencies, samples, promotional materials, inventory, and follow‑up.

PR, Partnerships & Communications

  • Represent company brands with media, trade organizations, influencers, and industry partners while identifying PR, sponsorship, partnership, and promotional opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and account opportunities and communicate relevant market feedback.

Reporting & Budget Management

  • Track brand and marketing KPIs, placements, activations, sales trends, and market activity and provide monthly performance recaps.
  • Manage marketing, advertising, event, and activation budgets by brand, including vendor costs and project expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience in beverage marketing, brand management, wine and spirits sales, trade marketing, or brand execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the wine and spirits industry, market trends, events, and key players.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; WSET or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, networking, public speaking, presentation, event planning, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Computer and graphic savvy with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, design/content tools, social media, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon and Shopify preferred.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to independently manage multiple projects, budgets, vendors, and deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

  • Full‑time with flexibility for evenings and weekends, if/when required.
  • Willingness to travel for market visits, events, retailer support, and brand activations.
