Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Marketing Manager to develop marketing strategies and creative materials to support the sales force and increase market share. The role includes organizing events, designing brochures, and managing the Marketing Assistant's daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in foodservice sales/marketing, strong MS Office and Adobe CS-4 skills, and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business. Valid Texas driver’s license is required for travel.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of foodservice sales, marketing or purchasing experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and Adobe CS-4.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required for driving to perform company business.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude and follow dress code
• Organize and coordinate all aspects for staging food shows, yearly SRP banquet, and other branch events
• Create and design brochures and advertising materials for use in vendor promotions
• Organize, advertise and publish results for all branch and companywide promotions
• Manage daily job responsibilities of the Marketing Assistant (where applicable)
• Provide feedback to GM regarding budget and forecasting needs of the Marketing Department
• Organize and implement creative business strategies for the Purchasing, Sales and Marketing Departments
• Consistently demonstrate and model good management and self-management practices in support of BEK culture

Job Qualifications

• Two to five years of foodservice sales, marketing or purchasing experience preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to competently use MS Office, Adobe CS-4, internet and email
• Valid Texas driver’s license is required for driving to perform company business
• Must have an understanding of the sales process and a collaborative relationship with sales, purchasing & operations
• Ability to correspond and communicate effectively to the sales force, vendors and customers in a written and/or verbal format
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses
• Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business; or related experience resulting in equivalent level of knowledge
