Job summary

PGA of America is seeking a marketing-focused professional to define narratives and drive campaigns. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years in marketing, brand strategy, communications, digital marketing, content marketing or related field.
  • Experience creating presentations, proposals, collateral and integrated plans.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in sports, golf, entertainment, media, hospitality or fast-paced consumer industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day communications with internal stakeholders and external contacts.
  • Build strong relationships across Marketing and the organization.
  • Assist with audience and industry research for background materials.
  • Support tracking and reporting of marketing activity and milestones.
  • Maintain organized records of materials, timelines, and contacts.
  • Help monitor marketing performance and communicate progress.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Ensure materials comply with PGA branding guidelines and industry trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and own the creative narrative and positioning for marketing initiatives, ensuring they are compelling, differentiated and aligned with PGA of America priorities.
  • Develop customized marketing plans, proposals, presentations and campaign materials for internal stakeholders and target audiences.
  • Create and maintain high-quality marketing decks, one-sheets, presentations, briefing documents and other marketing collateral.
  • Translate organizational objectives and audience needs into strategic marketing opportunities and integrated campaign concepts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including communications, events, digital, content and operations, to identify resources, opportunities and activation ideas.
  • Support the planning and coordination of internal and external marketing meetings, presentations, briefings and related events.
  • Develop meeting agendas, presentations, talking points, recaps and follow-up materials as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day communications and coordination with internal stakeholders and external contacts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Marketing department and throughout the organization.
  • Assist with audience research, industry research and the preparation of background materials.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of marketing activity, campaign development, deliverables and key milestones.
  • Maintain organized records of marketing materials, timelines, contacts, communications and status updates.
  • Help monitor marketing performance and prepare reports, recaps and presentations that communicate progress and results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, tools, templates and workflows.
  • Understand PGA of America brand initiatives and ensure all marketing materials, presentations and communications comply with established PGA branding guidelines.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, audience preferences, consumer behavior and innovative marketing practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, communications, digital marketing, content marketing, event marketing or a related field.
  • Experience developing presentations, proposals, marketing collateral, campaign materials and integrated marketing plans.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in professional sports, golf, entertainment, media, hospitality or another fast-paced, consumer-focused industry preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Must have knowledge of marketing principles, campaign development and brand communications gained through experience in sports, golf, entertainment, media or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling marketing narratives, campaigns and presentations while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate meetings, manage communications, track deliverables and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs.
  • Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts, including the ability to use AI to enhance business operations, support marketing initiatives and drive innovation that better serves our Members and stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
