Job summary

UpdatePromise develops automotive software and AI solutions supporting dealership scheduling, customer communication, service operations, payments, and customer experience. We work with leading automakers, including Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai, Genesis, Mazda, Kia, Audi, BMW and Ford, and serve thousands of automotive centers across North America. Recent innovations include our Harmony AI platform and a smart‑glasses video inspection integration with Meta.

About Your Role

You will own the marketing plan, lead team assignments, maintain brand standards, and keep projects moving. Our existing team supports content, creative production, publishing, and website development.

You will use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to work faster, while reviewing outputs for accuracy, protecting confidential information, and taking responsibility for the finished work.

Marketing Strategy and Team Leadership
  • Own the annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with executive priorities, sales goals, and product releases.
  • Maintain a weekly calendar with clear assignments, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Lead work across marketing teammates, website support, vendors, sales, and product teams.
  • Identify delays early and resolve execution problems.
  • Present recommendations for campaign priorities, spending, and resource needs.
Campaigns and Revenue Growth
  • Plan and execute campaigns that reach dealer principals, general managers, and fixed operations leaders across email, social media, websites, events, OEM, and partner channels.
  • Generate qualified dealership and dealer group leads and drive demo bookings.
  • Develop messaging for UpdatePromise, Harmony AI, and related products.
  • Lead product launch materials, campaign schedules, and sales follow‑up.
  • Work with sales to evaluate lead quality and improve campaign results.
Content and Brand Management
  • Guide and review articles, case studies, sales collateral, presentations, product announcements, and creative assets.
  • Translate technical product capabilities into clear customer benefits.
  • Maintain consistent messaging across company websites and marketing channels.
  • Support executive LinkedIn content and industry thought leadership.
SEO and Search Performance
  • Own keyword strategy, on‑page optimization, and content planning for dealership and service technology search terms.
  • Lead technical SEO audits, including site speed, indexing, schema, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals, with our website developer.
  • Grow organic traffic, rankings, and leads, including visibility in AI search results such as Google
AI Overviews
  • Monitor website traffic, conversions, and search performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs.
  • Report monthly on organic leads, rankings, and conversion results.
Website Management and WordPress
  • Manage the UpdatePromise website, including content, page updates, landing pages, navigation, and brand consistency.
  • Use WordPress to create, edit, publish, and maintain pages and posts.
  • Coordinate technical changes, integrations, troubleshooting, plugin updates, backups, and security with our website developer.
  • Keep product information, manufacturer program pages, event details, and lead forms current.
AI and Marketing Automation
  • Use ChatGPT, Claude, and other approved tools in daily marketing workflows.
  • Build reusable prompts, templates, and documented processes.
  • Verify product claims, source information, and customer‑facing content before publication.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities based on quality, cost, time savings, and business value.
  • Train teammates on effective AI workflows.
Industry Events, Vendors, and Budgets
  • Build the annual event strategy and recommend which shows deliver the best return, including NADA Show, Digital Dealer, state dealer association meetings, OEM dealer meetings, and 20 Groups.
  • Manage trade shows, roadshows, manufacturer meetings, and dealership events, from booth strategy to on‑site execution.
  • Manage event schedules, collateral, vendor deliverables, and logistics.
  • Identify sponsorship and speaking opportunities for company executives.
  • Organize lead capture and post‑event follow‑up with sales.
  • Measure each event's cost per lead, pipeline generated, and closed revenue.
  • Evaluate vendors and negotiate pricing within approved authority.
  • Track marketing spending and report results against approved budgets.
Reporting and Accountability
  • Deliver concise weekly progress reports and monthly performance reviews.
  • Track qualified leads, demo bookings, conversion rates, campaign costs, and pipeline contribution.
  • Maintain reliable campaign tracking in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot) and marketing systems.
  • Use results to recommend specific improvements.
  • Keep leadership informed of completed work, upcoming priorities, and decisions requiring attention.
What You Bring
  • Preferred 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, including 2+ years leading people, agencies, or cross‑functional projects.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in the automotive industry, such as with a dealership, dealer group, OEM, or automotive software or service vendor.
  • Understanding of how dealerships operate and buy, especially fixed operations and service departments.
  • Proven record of growing organic search traffic and leads, with examples of results.
  • Knowledge of major automotive industry events and experience planning trade show presence.
  • Track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns that generated measurable pipeline.
  • Strong writing, editing, organization, and project coordination skills
  • Practical experience using AI tools to produce and improve marketing work.
  • Hands‑on WordPress experience, including page editing, landing pages, and familiarity with plugins and page builders.
  • Familiarity with email marketing, social media, website publishing, CRM systems, and analytics tools such as GA4.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working directly with executives, sales teams, and technical colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and change processes when a better approach becomes available.
