Job summary

Lids is seeking Marketing Interns to join the Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN for a hands‑on, mentorship‑driven summer program. You will contribute to brand and content experiences, retail and digital initiatives, and consumer engagement projects.

You’ll work under mentors with exposure to leadership, attend professional development workshops, and have opportunities for full‑time placement after graduation. Housing support is provided for non‑local interns.

Qualifications

  • Requires 3.0 GPA and full‑time student pursuing a marketing‑related degree at an accredited college/university.
  • Present for the duration of the internship from 05/31/2027 to 07/30/2027.
  • On‑site internship at the Indianapolis corporate office; relocation to Indianapolis may be required for non‑locals.
  • Expected to graduate between December 2027 and May 2028 (Junior Status).

Responsibilities

  • Support projects across brand, retail, digital, and consumer touchpoints.
  • Contribute to consumer-facing initiatives including digital, retail, PR, partnerships, events.
  • Assist with brainstorming and developing content for various channels.
  • Track and analyze metrics to generate insights for future marketing efforts.
  • Monitor social media trends and contribute content ideas.

General Position Summary

Lids offers a comprehensive internship program across multiple professional disciplines in the fast‑paced world of sports, retail and fashion.

Students will work at the Lids Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career‑related activities. Interns will have the opportunity to present their business projects to the Lids Leadership team and other key members of the organization. The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.

Marketing Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to projects spanning brand and content experiences, retail experiences, digital initiatives, consumer engagement, partnerships, events, and other opportunities designed to strengthen the Lids brand and connect with fans.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support projects and initiatives designed to strengthen Lids connection with consumers across brand, retail, digital, and other consumer touchpoints.
  • Contribute to a variety of consumer‑facing initiatives across marketing, including digital, retail, PR, partnerships, seeding and gifting, activations and events, and other brand experiences.
  • Assist with brainstorming and developing content for a variety of channels
  • Track, measure, and analyze metrics on a variety of channels to develop insights for future marketing efforts
  • Monitor and share trends in social media and contribute content ideas
  • Research industry trends and what top competitors are doing and how we can constantly improve our strategy
  • Work with Customer Insights team to identify audiences for targeting and create reports
  • Contribute to campaign planning for important sporting events and relevant opportunities
Job Required Knowledge And Skills
  • For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and be a full‑time student pursuing a bachelor's or higher degree in a marketing‑related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredited 2‑year college/university.
  • A selected student must be present for the duration of the internship from 05/31/2027 to 07/30/2027
  • This internship is full on‑site at our corporate office in Indianapolis. If not local, you must be willing to relocate to the Indianapolis area for the summer
  • Expected to graduate between December of 2027 and May 2028 (Junior Status)
