Lids Sports Group in Indianapolis offers a Business Analytics Intern role at our corporate office. You will work under mentors, build automated reports in Excel, and begin SQL access to our data

Qualifications

• Applicants must be full-time students pursuing a Business Analytics-related degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and availability for 05/31/2027–07/30/2027.
• On-site internship at the Indianapolis corporate office; relocation to Indianapolis if needed.
• Graduation expected between Dec 2026 and May 2027 (Junior status).

Responsibilities

General Position Summary

Lids offers a comprehensive internship program across multiple professional disciplines in the fast-paced world of sports, retail and fashion.

Students will work at the Lids Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities. Interns will have the opportunity to present their business projects to the Lids Leadership team and other key members of the organization. The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily Responsibilities of a Business Analytics Intern
• Utilize Excel and other tools to create new automated reports to achieve merchandising goals
• Learn the basics of the SQL language and how to pull data from an existing database
• Develop ad-hoc reporting to analyze performance, support recommendations, and communicate cross functionally
• Forecast future sales metrics utilizing principles of both art and science
• Monitor the sports world on a daily basis to help understand how wins and losses impact our business
• Participate in real, meaningful work assignments that positively impact the company
• Complete a summer project and present your findings and solution to our executive leadership team

Job Required Knowledge and Skills

• For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's or higher degree in a Business Analytics-related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredited 2-year college/university
• A selected student must be present for the duration of the internship from 05/31/2027 to 07/30/2027
• This internship is full on-site at our corporate office in Indianapolis. If not local, you must be willing to relocate to the Indianapolis area for the summer
• Expected to graduate between December of 2026 and May 2027 (Junior Status)
