Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Marketing Finance in New York. You will partner with Marketing to manage Advertising & Marketing spend, budgets, forecasts, and financial outlooks, ensuring accurate reporting and timely close.

The role requires 5+ years FP&A experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and comfort with SAP, Oracle or EPM. You will influence spend decisions and deliver executive-ready analyses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of FP&A experience with hands-on budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong understanding of monthly close, accruals, reclasses and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to partner with Marketing and other stakeholders on budgets and outlooks.
• Excellent analytical mindset with attention to detail and ownership.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP/Oracle/EPM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Marketing managers to develop budgets, forecasts and financial outlooks for Advertising & Marketing.
• Own A&M budgeting and forecasting, understand initiatives and key drivers.
• Lead the monthly close process for A&M expenses and ensure accurate reporting.
• Analyze spend vs. budget/forecast, identify variances, risks and opportunities.
• Support the annual operating plan and provide informed assumption analyses.
• Maintain cost-center structures for accurate reporting and controls.
• Develop executive-ready reporting and insights on marketing spend and performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
