Job summary

KAT in Knoxville is seeking a Marketing and Events Specialist to oversee initiatives in the Marketing Department. You will develop content across multiple channels, represent KAT at community events, and support newsletters and performance reporting to advance public engagement.

The role includes coordinating events, guiding outreach partnerships, and delivering passenger education programs, with occasional after-hours work and a focus on consistent branding across all communications.

Qualifications

• An associate's degree with 1–3 years of related experience.
• Military experience may be accepted in lieu of equivalent experience or education.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in the transportation industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Marketing and Communications: Develop content across platforms; ensure brand consistency.
• Events and Community Outreach: Plan and represent KAT at community events; evaluate partnerships.
• Administrative: Produce newsletters and flyers; generate campaign performance reports.
• Support passenger education programs and conduct training sessions as needed.
• Assist with general admin tasks and cross-department coordination.
