Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Marketing Engineer for the Chiller business unit. You will identify product opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and work with the product manager to bring new products to market.

You will lead sustaining and new product development and translate sales feedback into actionable product specs and collateral. Based in Staunton, VA with hybrid options, the role requires travel<15%.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Travel up to 15%
• Experience in marketing within HVAC is preferred

The Marketing Engineer is responsible for identifying product opportunities and executing marketing strategies to win business. Works with the product manager to identify new product development opportunities to bring them to market. Serves as a technical and coordination lead for sustaining and new product development for the assigned product lines. Leverages feedback from the sales organization and customers to generate product specs and work with the engineering team to develop winning products. Collects and translates applicable information on competing products in the market as well as industry trends to create collateral that will assist in product positioning. Location : Staunton, VA – hybrid (remote location considered)

Your Responsibilities:

• Support water-cooled chiller models, but could work with air-cooled product lines as well
• Provide marketing support for new product development and sustaining products
• Manage development and maintenance of literature and promotional tools
• Direct development or maintenance of sales or selection software
• Perform marketing evaluations for distribution needs, customer needs, market trends, competition, P&L requirements, pricing levels, and recommend appropriate action
• Develop and maintain strategic information and documents to guide sales team on how to strategically sell Daikin products
• Assist product manager with information for sales forecasting and ROI projections

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel <15%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or MBA
• 3+ years of related experience working in the HVAC industry

The typical annual base salary for a Marketing Engineer II position ranges from $74,200-$124,300 in Virginia. The typical annual base salary for a Marketing Engineer III position ranges from $90,400-$151,800 + 10% bonus in Virginia. The ranges displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
