Job description

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead customer acquisition, growth strategy, and marketing performance for a growing multi-location professional services organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a marketer who enjoys building and executing, not simply managing agencies or large teams. The Director of Marketing will own the full marketing function, partnering directly with senior leadership to drive lead generation, conversion, and revenue growth while managing one direct report.

The ideal candidate brings a strong customer acquisition mindset and understands how to turn marketing investment into measurable business outcomes. This person will be comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels, developing growth plans, launching campaigns, analyzing performance, and rolling up their sleeves when needed.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in office expected after a 90 day in office ramp up period.

  • Own marketing strategy and execution across digital and traditional channels with a focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute growth initiatives that increase qualified leads, consultations, and client conversions.
  • Lead go-to-market efforts for new office launches and geographic expansion initiatives.
  • Build scalable demand generation programs that create consistent lead flow and reduce reliance on referral-driven growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, conversion rates, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover growth opportunities and improve market positioning.
Leadership & Execution
  • Manage and develop one Marketing Manager while maintaining day-to-day ownership of the marketing function.
  • Serve as the organization's senior marketing leader, setting priorities while remaining actively involved in campaign execution and optimization.
  • Build scalable marketing processes, reporting, and workflows that support continued growth.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and external partners as needed, while maintaining internal ownership of strategy and results.
Analytics & Performance
  • Own marketing performance across the full lead lifecycle, from initial inquiry through signed client and revenue attribution.
  • Track and analyze key metrics including lead volume, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, and ROI.
  • Build actionable dashboards and reporting that connect marketing efforts to business outcomes.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns, channels, and budget allocation based on performance data.
Budget & Channel Management
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources toward the highest-performing acquisition channels.
  • Lead initiatives across paid search, local search, website optimization, email marketing, SEO, and other growth channels.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and tactics that support customer acquisition and market expansion.
  • Partner with external vendors selectively while keeping strategy and key initiatives in-house.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience with increasing levels of ownership and leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong background in B2C marketing, customer acquisition, and demand generation.
  • Experience in multi-location, multi-unit, franchise, retail, healthcare, home services, legal services, financial services, or other consumer-focused environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable growth in leads, conversions, and revenue.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing digital marketing programs.
  • Comfortable leading strategy while remaining actively involved in execution.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring return on investment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable growth strategies.
