Job summary

Sia is recruiting a Data Scientist Consultant in the San Francisco area with a strong interest in Marketing, Customer, and Product topics. You will support client operations, analyze data, deploy data science algorithms, and provide strategic decision support.

Responsibilities include modeling, data exploration, and building GenAI-powered solutions across diverse engagements, with collaboration across leadership, engineering, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in at least one GenAI framework (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of model ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral AI, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client leadership, engineers, program managers, and data analysts to understand data needs.
• Identify, acquire, process, and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data to discover trends.
• Develop data science models and machine learning algorithms.
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-based systems using GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and Mistral.
• Develop GenAI-powered applications that meet real business needs and comply with regulations.
• Design prompting strategies to improve reliability and control.
• Communicate insights at scale via presentations, dashboards, datasets, and bots.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams across projects.
