Job summary

Sia in New York is seeking a Data Scientist Consultant with a strong focus on risk, compliance, and regulatory topics to support client operations. You will analyze data, deploy data science solutions, and build GenAI-powered applications that align with GDPR, EU AI Act, and applicable licenses.

The role reports to the AI & Data unit and collaborates with client teams. You will participate in building automated pipelines, dashboards, and predictive models, while contributing to offerings through

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Engineering degree in a quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in at least one GenAI framework (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of model ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Hugging Face).
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts.
• Experience building agentic AI systems.
• Solid understanding of ML techniques and statistics.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience deploying models at scale in production.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients' leadership, engineers, program managers, and data analysts to understand data needs.
• Identify, acquire, and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large structured and unstructured data to find trends.
• Use data science to build predictive models and ML algorithms.
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-based systems (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral).
• Develop GenAI-powered applications meeting business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Design prompting strategies to improve reliability and control.
• Communicate findings via presentations, dashboards, datasets, bots, etc.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams.
• Deliver models, datasets, tools, and processes across projects.
