Mitchell Lewis & Staver (MLS) is seeking a Marketing & Customer Programs Specialist in Wilsonville, OR to execute customer programs, supplier partner initiatives, promotions, events, and recurring marketing activities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, program coordination, events, project coordination, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and refine customer-facing and internal business materials.
  • High degree of digital fluency, including proficiency with common business applications and comfort using AI-enabled tools to research, organize, draft, refine, and accelerate execution.
  • Comfortable coordinating with supplier partners, vendors, service providers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to obtain quotes, evaluate alternatives, manage deliverables, and track basic program spending and performance measures.
  • Ability to travel approximately 2-3 times per year as needed for customer events and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MLS-owned customer programs, including the MLS Advantage Program, from initial coordination through completion.
  • Coordinate supplier partner programs, promotions, and initiatives that create value for MLS customers and support their success.
  • Work with supplier partners to identify available programs, marketing resources, content, and other opportunities and translate them into relevant activities for MLS customers.
  • Coordinate timelines, communications, materials, resources, participant information, fulfillment, and follow-up required to execute MLS and supplier-sponsored programs.
  • Serve as a dependable coordination point between MLS teams, supplier partners, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in program execution.
  • Track participation, results, and key program details, providing useful feedback while developing ownership of recurring programs and activities.
  • Maintain and execute the recurring marketing calendar, incorporating MLS initiatives, supplier partner programs, promotions, events, and customer communications.
  • Coordinate a light social media calendar, including development, scheduling, and publishing of content.
  • Support a regular customer email cadence, including drafting, coordination, scheduling, and basic performance measurement.
  • Develop first drafts of customer communications, promotional materials, presentations, and other marketing content.
  • Coordinate internal, supplier, and other review and approval processes while keeping projects moving toward completion.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of customer events, trips, promotions, and other experiences, including supplier partner participation when appropriate.
  • Manage event logistics, schedules, communications, vendors, merchandise, materials, and other details required for successful execution.
  • Support on-site execution for select events, with approximately 2-3 trips annually.

Position Objective

The Marketing & Customer Programs Specialist is a hands-on role responsible for executing Mitchell Lewis & Staver (MLS) customer programs, supplier partner initiatives, promotions, events, and recurring marketing activities. As a distributor, much of the value MLS delivers to customers comes through the products, programs, expertise, and resources of our supplier partners. This role helps connect those capabilities with our customers by coordinating and executing both MLS-developed and supplier-sponsored initiatives. Working directly with marketing leadership, this individual will initially execute against established plans, coordinating communications, timelines, materials, vendors, logistics, and follow-up. As they develop a stronger understanding of our customers, supplier partners, and business, they will be expected to take increasing ownership of recurring programs and marketing activities with less day-to-day direction.

Essential Functions
Customer & Supplier Partner Programs
  • Support the planning and execution of MLS-owned customer programs, including the MLS Advantage Program, from initial coordination through completion.
  • Coordinate supplier partner programs, promotions, and initiatives that create value for MLS customers and support their success.

Customer Events & Experiences
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of customer events, trips, promotions, and other experiences, including supplier partner participation when appropriate.
  • Manage event logistics, schedules, communications, vendors, merchandise, materials, and other details required for successful execution.
  • Support on-site execution for select events, with approximately 2-3 trips expected annually, while interacting professionally with customers, supplier partners, and vendors.
Digital, AI & Marketing Production
  • Use AI-enabled tools and common business and marketing applications to improve the speed, quality, and efficiency of execution.
  • Create and refine presentations, customer communications, marketing materials, event materials, project plans, and other working documents, including adapting supplier-provided content for MLS use.
  • Produce credible first drafts independently while recognizing when specialized creative or technical expertise is needed and effectively engaging outside resources.
Vendor, Merchandise & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate outside resources including creative partners, printers, promotional merchandise providers, event vendors, and other third parties.
  • Obtain quotes, evaluate options, and manage vendor timelines and deliverables based on quality, cost, timing, and business requirements.
  • Coordinate branded merchandise, inventory, fulfillment, and related project spending and documentation.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Track straightforward performance measures such as email engagement, promotion participation, event attendance, program utilization, and spend.
  • Provide concise summaries of results and identify opportunities to improve future programs and execution.
  • Develop repeatable processes, templates, checklists, and calendars that make recurring activities easier and more efficient to manage.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, program coordination, events, project coordination, or a related area. Meaningful internship or collegiate experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and details simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and refine customer-facing and internal business materials.
  • High degree of digital fluency, including proficiency with common business applications and comfort using AI-enabled tools to research, organize, draft, refine, and accelerate execution.
  • Comfortable coordinating with supplier partners, vendors, service providers, and customers in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements

Ability to repetitively move product weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling.
