The Marketing and Customer Insights Specialist will lead the development and execution of data-informed marketing strategies that drive customer participation in EWEB programs and services. This role bridges customer insights and campaign execution — translating research, behavioral data, and market analysis into targeted marketing strategies that support program design, maximize enrollment, and achieve measurable outcomes.

Working as part of the Communications & Marketing team, this position will partner closely with Customer Programs and data teams to ensure that customer insights are integrated early in program development and that marketing efforts are strategically designed, implemented, and continuously optimized to meet participation, equity, and organizational goals.

What You’ll Bring
Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy, customer segmentation, and performance marketing practices such as lead generation and conversion optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing, including digital, email automation, direct mail, paid media, and community-based outreach.
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing.
Skills
  • Proven ability to develop data-driven marketing plans tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of formats.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a cross-functional environment without direct authority.
  • Ability to connect marketing strategies to operational goals such as demand response, energy efficiency, and conservation.
  • Capacity to quickly learn utility industry concepts, including energy and water efficiency, rate design, and customer programs

The energy landscape is rapidly evolving, and the future will look very different from the past. EWEB and its customers will increasingly work together to better align energy demand with available supply.
