Compensation: $85,000 to $110,000 (annualized salary)
We’re looking for a Marketing Contractor (Writer + Content Manager) to join CodePath’s Community team as a dedicated partner in advancing our CodePath Local (CPL) programs. This role is key to delivering strategic, high-quality marketing that drives student engagement and regional growth.
You’ll help translate strategy into campaigns, create content that elevates student stories, and support our goal to engage thousands of students across key regions. As an embedded member of the team, you’ll shape how students experience CodePath—from their first invite to their success story.
This position is ideal for a savvy marketing generalist with strong writing chops, HubSpot experience, and a passion for mission-driven storytelling. You'll work closely with program, partnerships, and career teams to create compelling content and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversions across CodePath’s regional expansion markets.
Key Activities
Content Strategy & Ideation: You will develop and execute editorial strategies that increase content reach and relevance for regional CPL audiences
Content Creation & Execution: Write and produce tailored content for technical, student, employer, and university audiences
HubSpot Campaign Management: You will own end-to-end campaign execution in HubSpot that converts segmented audiences into engaged CPL participants
Website & Landing Page Updates: You will ensure landing pages reflect current program priorities and drive 10–15% traffic growth in regional markets
Trend Monitoring: You will benchmark competitive messaging, stay current on industry and regional hiring trends
Editorial Oversight: You will uphold brand voice and editorial consistency
SEO & Analytics: You will conduct keyword research, implement SEO strategy, and report on performance, seeing consistent growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You willpartner with growth, programs, and design teams to align campaign content
Visual Content Coordination: You will enhance the visual impact of campaigns to increase engagement metrics across CPL channels.
Event Communications: You will execute marketing for CPL events, from awareness to post-event follow-up - in partnership with regional leads
Key Success Metrics
Publish a monthly content calendar in a shared workspace (e.g., Asana, Notion, GCalendar) with at least 3 planned pieces per week
Complete a HubSpot campaign audit of all campaigns from the past 6 months, identifying top-performing assets and 3–5 key optimization areas
Execute 2–3 full campaigns with clear segmentation. Generate 1,000 unique student impressions via a combination of email, social media, and partner communications (track via HubSpot and UTM links)
Launch 1–2 student or employer-facing events with targeted messaging
Deliver CPL content playbooks and HubSpot SOPs. Finalize and share 2 documented playbooks in team drive: one for content development, one for HubSpot campaign setup
Host one 30-minute internal training session per playbook
Produce at least 3 high-impact content pieces (e.g., case study, testimonials)
Manage and improve campaign workflows end-to-end. Implement automation in at least 75% of recurring campaigns. Reduce campaign launch time by 25% compared to Q1 baseline
Qualifications
3–5 years in content marketing, digital campaigns, or communications
HubSpot experience required (emails, workflows, segmentation, reporting)
Excellent writer with versatility across formats and audiences
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and CRM best practices
Experience with tools like Canva, Figma, Asana, Trello a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects with precision and proactive communication
Bonus: Experience in tech, higher education, or social impact orgs
Compensation
CodePath has standardized salaries based on the position’s level, no matter where you live. For this role, we’re hiring for a Manager level position at an annual salary of $85,000 to $110,000. Salary is determined based on your relevant experience and skills as evaluated through our interview process.
