Job summary

Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation seeks a Marketing & Communications Specialist to tell our story and promote programs across Jefferson and Franklin Counties. The role supports content creation, social media, and events from our Hillsboro office in a hybrid setup.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in marketing/communications, experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, and strong writing skills. This position offers health benefits, paid leave, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or social media management.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create marketing materials, social media graphics, flyers, brochures, presentations, and promotional content.
• Write engaging content for social media, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
• Capture and edit photos and videos highlighting agency programs, events, and community impact.
• Manage JFCAC social media platforms and digital presence.
• Assist with website updates, email marketing, and outreach efforts.
• Support agency events and community engagement activities.

Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to help tell our story and promote the programs and services that make a difference throughout Jefferson and Franklin Counties.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Starting Pay: $20.70 per hour
• Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and relevant experience
• Full-Time, Exempt Position
• 36-Hour Workweek
• 4-Day Workweek with Fridays Off
• Hybrid Work Environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO
