This is a remote position that may require periodictravel to events throughout the DMV.
SCI Summary : SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health's Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models.
Position Summary : The Marketing & Communications Specialist will be a key contributor to the growing Brand and Marketing function at Service Coordination Inc. (SCI), a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and complex needs. This newly created role will provide essential administrative and project management support for SCI's marketing and brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission while uplifting and reinforcing SCI's value across all communication channels. Reporting to the Director of Brand Experience, the Marketing & Communications Specialist will collaborate on the development and execution of strategic marketing, branding, and engagement initiatives, working across departments to connect resources, develop compelling content, maintain project plans, and manage campaign schedules. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Director of Brand Experience to lead cross-functional marketing efforts, ensuring that SCI's impact is effectively communicated to external audiences, stakeholders, and the communities we serve.

Physical Demands : Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >
95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s). Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
