Job summary

West Kentucky Community & Technical College seeks a Marketing and Communications Specialist I to be the backbone of the Marketing and Communications Office. This role ensures marketing processes—from request intake to project completion—are efficient, accurate, and accountable.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will coordinate cross-department communication, manage workflows in Monday.com, handle purchasing and budget tracking, and support campus events and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.
• Demonstrated project management and workflow coordination experience.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with accuracy and composure under deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; editing or proofing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage marketing requests system and prioritize hundreds of annual requests.
• Track tasks in Monday.com to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Develop workflow processes to improve efficiency and accountability.
• Monitor project progress and report to leadership.
• Coordinate department operations including inventory, vendor quotes, and invoices.
• Maintain financial records and assist with annual budget prep.
• Liaise with Purchasing and vendors to ensure smooth processing.
• Coordinate internal communications like WKCTC Digest.
• Assist with copy review, scheduling, and proofreading of materials.
• Maintain digital asset systems for brand consistency.
• Provide logistical support for campus events and campaigns.
• Capture event photos and create social media content.
• Support major campaigns by aligning timelines and deliverables.
• Generate data and analytics reports for campaign metrics and timelines.
