Job description

Join to apply for the Marketing/Communications Coordinator role at ERT.

ERT is seeking a Marketing/Communications Coordinator to join our growing Corporate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications and marketing, with the ability to write compelling copy and create effective marketing campaigns that highlight ERT’s expertise in technology, engineering, and science. The candidate should possess strong project coordination skills, excellent proofreading and editing abilities, and impeccable attention to detail. Motivated to help develop ERT’s overall marketing and communications strategy.

Duties include:
  • Coordinate and implement marketing and communication projects supporting ERT's business goals, including creating marketing copy, newsletters, memos, blog posts, reports, and other communications.
  • Organize public image campaigns and special events with engaging, interactive social media content to enhance ERT’s reputation.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to achieve project objectives, milestones, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding key business strategies and project expectations.
  • Oversee daily activity of ERT’s social media channels, using social media to promote events, recruit talent, and enhance brand visibility.
  • Evaluate and analyze marketing initiatives to assess strategy effectiveness.
  • Provide insights, write content, and partner with the webmaster to meet SEO and web goals.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics to analyze web performance, report KPIs, and recommend improvements.
  • Perform administrative functions to support marketing and communications projects.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • Proficiency in social media management, content calendar development, and campaign execution.
  • Strong writing, editing, ghostwriting, and proofreading skills across multiple formats.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, deadline-driven, and organized; capable of thriving in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to interpret data to inform digital strategies.
Desired
  • Ability to combine marketing expertise with knowledge of STEM fields.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and managing web content with WordPress.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere.
  • Experience in video editing, audio enhancement, and multimedia graphics production.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.

Location

Remote, with occasional travel to ERT's Tysons Corner office for meetings.

Salary

$60,000 - $80,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.
