Job description

Position is fully remote with flexible timezone options.

The Communications Analyst/Proofreader will work independently and collaboratively within the Proofreading team, alongside Member Experience Managers and Marketing Operations Managers, to ensure all member communication content complies with CMS and client requirements before delivery.

Responsibilities:
  1. Learn and apply understanding of plan design elements to member materials and proofreading tasks.
  2. Proofread electronically a high volume of member-facing materials related to Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specified instructions (verbiage, logo usage, plan design, etc.).
  3. Verify accuracy against backup materials, adhering to CMS and client standards, using Microsoft Word track changes and Adobe Acrobat comments; check grammar and clarity.
  4. Apply internal style guide standards; collaborate with the Proofreading Team Lead for style questions and procedural updates.
  5. Manage assigned projects with the Proofreading Team Lead, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  6. Coordinate with the Workflow Manager to ensure timely completion of jobs.
  7. Work with Communication Owners to resolve questions and discrepancies, under the guidance of the Proofreading Team Lead.
  8. Address timing conflicts and discrepancies proactively.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow documented processes and work instructions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail, especially with lengthy or technical texts.
  • Meticulous work ethic with an eye for accuracy.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-4 years of communications proofreading experience.
  • Experience managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, with familiarity in web-based tools.
  • Solid understanding of English language.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proofreading expertise.
  • English proficiency.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and workflow tools.
  • Knowledge of CMS, Medicare, and Medicaid (preferred).
  • Comfortable working digitally across multiple platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills; Medicare experience is a plus.
