Job description

Position is fully remote with flexible timezone options.

Role Overview

The Communications Analyst/Proofreader will work independently and collaboratively with the Proofreading team, Member Experience Managers, and Marketing Operations Managers to ensure all member communication content complies with CMS and client requirements before delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Learn and apply understanding of plan design elements to member materials and proofreading tasks.
2. Proofread a high volume of member-facing materials related to Medicare Part D, ensuring accuracy in verbiage, logo usage, and plan design.
3. Ensure materials meet CMS and client standards using Microsoft Word track changes and Adobe Acrobat comments, focusing on grammar and clarity.
4. Apply internal style guides and collaborate with the Proofreading Team Lead on style and procedural updates.
5. Manage projects with the Team Lead, adhering to priorities and deadlines.
6. Coordinate with the Workflow Manager to route completed work.
7. Work with Communication Owners to resolve questions and discrepancies, under Team Lead advisement.
8. Address timing conflicts and overall priorities collaboratively.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3-4 years of proofreading experience in communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat (intermediate level or higher).
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Experience with content management systems, CMS, Medicare, or Medicaid is preferred.
• Comfort with digital platforms and multitasking.
