Job summary

Whitehall Borough Post Acute is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Liaison to drive referral partnerships, hospital visits, and occupancy growth. The role focuses on developing relationships with case managers, social workers, and physicians, while coordinating with admissions to optimize census.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral partners.

Marketing & Business Development Liaison (Project Management)

Whitehall Borough Post Acute is a 166-bed post-acute care facility located at 505 Weyman Rd., Pittsburgh. Our positive reputation in the community is a testament to our incredible staff members.

Successful candidates will have the following:

Ability to maintain all required continuing education

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Clear Cisive Background Check- last 7 years reviewed
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a physical examination and 2-step PPD or equivalent.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk and talk, read or hear
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Experience with Point Click Care is preferred
  • Compassion for a vulnerable population and willingness to advocate for patients
  • Understanding of Patient Rights
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to the Director of Business Development, helping to divide and conquer the many moving pieces of facility marketing and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital case managers, social workers, discharge planners, physicians, assisted living communities, and other referral partners.
  • Conduct hospital visits, bedside visits, referral follow-up, and other activities designed to strengthen relationships and increase referral conversion.
  • Review and assist with responding to referrals as appropriate, while communicating effectively with the clinical and admissions teams.
  • Identify and develop new referral and community partnership opportunities.
  • Represent the facility at vendor fairs, networking events, community events, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Support facility marketing initiatives including social media, newsletters, promotional materials, events, and other creative projects.
  • Assist with tours, admissions, and other facility needs when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to execute marketing strategies and initiatives designed to achieve and sustain 95%+ occupancy.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects while remaining flexible and willing to assist with delegated priorities.
  • Bring forward new ideas, identify opportunities, and proactively look for ways to improve the facility's visibility, relationships, and overall success.
  • Serve as a positive and enthusiastic representative of Whitehall Borough Post Acute both inside and outside of the facility.

Clinical experience is not required. However, the successful candidate must be comfortable learning and reviewing basic clinical information contained within referrals and communicating appropriately with the clinical and admissions teams.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

Must possess, as a minimum, A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent. (Five (5) years experience in marketing/public relations in a health care setting may be recognized in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.)

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
