Job summary

Amwins in Edison, NJ is seeking a Marketing Broker to join our Brokerage team in-office. You will support the Production Team with coverage, design advice, and carrier proposals for complex or hard-to-place accounts.

Work with brokers on markets and products, assist in client meetings, negotiate with carriers for the best client programs, and maintain key carrier relationships in the Strategic Market. Travel may be required; 3+ years of insurance experience and a P&C license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of insurance experience.
• E&S experience is a plus.
• P&C license preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of casualty insurance.
• Ability to travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of communication with the Production Team, including providing coverage and program design advice and expertise
• Provide brokers with knowledge about markets and products as they relate to classes of business
• Assist Broker in client meetings as requested
• Prepare and submit proposals to carriers for complex or hard-to-place accounts
• Negotiate with carriers for the best program for clients
• Oversee preparation of draft proposals
• Oversee preparation and finalization of Carrier and Client coverage confirmations
• Maintain strong relationships with key carriers in the Strategic Market
• Monitor carrier performance regarding service and commission level
• Participate in travel and networking events with retailers and underwriters
• Receive and respond to calls/requests from underwriters and retail producers concerning problems, delays, discrepancies, etc. and provide resolution so that all parties are satisfied
• Assist in the training of Associate Brokers

Join our Amwins Brokerage team in Edison as a Marketing Broker!

This position is in-office. None of our positions are commission based or involve cold calling.

Each Marketing Broker provides vital team functions:

• Serve as a point of communication with the Production Team, including providing coverage and program design advice and expertise
• Provide brokers with knowledge about markets and products as they relate to classes of business
• Assist Broker in client meetings as requested
• Prepare and submit proposals to carriers for complex or hard-to-place accounts
• Negotiate with carriers for the best program for clients
• Oversee preparation of draft proposals
• Oversee preparation and finalization of Carrier and Client coverage confirmations
• Maintain strong relationships with key carriers in the Strategic Market
• Monitor carrier performance regarding service and commission level
• Participate in travel and networking events with retailers and underwriters such as lunches, dinners, concerts, sporting events, golf events, charity events,etc.
• Receive and respond to calls/requests from underwriters and retail producers concerning problems, delays, discrepancies, etc. and provide resolution so that all parties are satisfied
• Assist in the training of Associate Brokers

We are looking for people with:

• 3+ years of insurance experience
• E&S experience is a plus!
• P&C license preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of casualty insurance
• Developed understanding of risk selection and coverage
• Knowledge of principles and methods involved in selling services including marketing strategies and tactics and sales techniques
• Ability to travel when necessary
