Marketing & Brand Support Specialist, Half Moon Bay at Brush Hog Tree Care

Brush Hog Tree Care is looking for a creative, motivated, and hands-on Marketing & Brand Support Specialist to help strengthen the company’s presence in the communities it serves. This role combines marketing, content creation, community outreach, and practical support, including keeping company vehicles looking presentable.

The position is part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends as scheduled. It is based in Half Moon Bay / La Honda, California, with travel to local events and job sites. Compensation is based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Key responsibilities

• Take photos and videos of crews, equipment, projects, and company activities.
• Create social media posts, reels, stories, and other marketing content.
• Help develop and carry out marketing and advertising strategies.
• Find ways to build local brand awareness and community engagement.
• Represent Brush Hog at community events, trade shows, fairs, and other promotional activities.
• Help prepare, set up, and break down events; distribute promotional materials.
• Build relationships with local businesses, community members, and potential customers.
• Coordinate with local vendors on products and treats for holiday gift baskets, client appreciation, and insurance agent marketing visits.
• Maintain local advertising displays and promotional supplies, and coordinate restocking as needed.
• Wash and maintain company trucks, trailers, and equipment, including scheduled weekend washing as needed.
• Keep vehicles clean and consistent with company branding, and report damaged or missing decals.

Qualifications

• Creative, outgoing, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
• Comfortable using social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Able to capture quality photos and videos with a smartphone.
• Willing to handle both marketing work and physical, hands-on tasks.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Available for occasional evenings and weekends for events and equipment washing.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred, but not required

Experience in marketing, social media, photography, content creation, event coordination, or community outreach is welcome. Familiarity with Canva or basic video editing apps is helpful, as is knowledge of tree care, landscaping, construction, or outdoor services.
