Job summary

Vertex seeks a Sr. Manager, Marketing Automation, CDP & OneTrust to lead day-to-day marketing automation, data activation, and consent integration. You will translate business needs into operational requirements, manage data activation, and supervise cross-functional partners to optimize capabilities and delivery.

The role involves coordinating with DTE and vendors, overseeing UAT and go-live readiness, and ensuring privacy and governance standards across GDPR/CCPA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Six or more years of experience in marketing technology delivery, business systems, or platform operations.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (journeys, automations, triggers, APIs); Adobe Campaign or Marketo is also relevant.
• Working Knowledge of CDP concepts, including identity resolution, audience management, and activation.
• Familiarity with consent and preference management, ideally OneTrust.
• Experience with requirements definition, UAT, Agile, and Jira, and overseeing vendors or technology partners.
• Strategic thinker with ability to execute hands-on while being innovative and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of marketing automation, CDP activation, and consent integration.
• Translate business requirements into operational requirements and manage data activation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify audience segments and journeys.
• Oversee vendor relationships, track timelines, and manage the execution backlog.
• Ensure privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance with audit-ready traceability.
• Support AI-driven automation initiatives and performance improvements.
