Connect Bellevue, the transportation demand management service of The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA), seeks aMarketingand Outreach Coordinator to support the development and implementation of sustainable transportation programs and position Connect Bellevue as a source of sustainable transportation information. We seek an individual who is a strong writer and has a solid understanding of content creation and writing for blogs/online, social media,marketingand outreach experience.
We are looking for someone who can start the third week of June. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of three days in the office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Be an ambassador for Connect Bellevue and contracted organizations through attending tabling events, including community events and transportation fairs throughout Bellevue
- Connect the public to sustainable transportation information in a variety of creative ways
- Complete writing projects, meet deadlines and follow branding guidelines.
- Develop engaging reports and white papers
- Produce quality writing that connects with target audiences, boosts engagement, and enhances Connect Bellevue’s and contracted organizations' presence.
- Assist with day-to-day tracking of key issues and trends throughout the region.
- Assist in updating and tracking social media sites (primarily Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
- Develop and execute social media strategies
- Design print and digital materials
- Maintain and develop websites (SEO, writing, design, etc.)
- Marketing campaigns (development and implementation)
- Additional duties as assigned
- Be able to sit or stand for an extended time while talking to community members at events
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, urban planning, environmental science, digital media, or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to complete projects on time.
- Experience and proficiency with email marketing platforms, including layout and design of emails.
- Positive, can-do attitude, with a strong desire to learn.
- Strong attention to detail, with experience managing lists and proofreading professional materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, and Squarespace
- Track record of problem-solving and team collaboration.
- A self-starter who takes appropriate initiative to improve processes.
- An excellent team player.
- Strong interest in the Bellevue community and sustainable transportation.
