Job summary

Ethos is a leading life insurance tech company transforming how life insurance is bought, sold and underwritten. We seek a sharp analyst who moves beyond dashboards to investigate attribution, data layers, and vendor models, bridging business intelligence with data science for offline and direct mail channels.

You will build models, stress-test assumptions, and surface answers to business questions before asked, helping the team scale testing and insights across channels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI, analytics, or data science at established firms or high-growth startups.
• 3+ years building BI reporting in Hex or Mode regularly.
• 3+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience building statistical or predictive models beyond dashboards.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-starter mentality, able to identify problems and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate channel performance and business questions proactively, beyond tickets.
• Deep dive into attribution and data layers to diagnose discrepancies and validate vendors.
• Build models (response/lift, allocation logic, simple regressions) for offline/direct mail decisions.
• Support scaling of direct mail testing with multi-cell mail merges and data pulls.
• Develop dashboards and frameworks to monitor KPIs.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and influence channel managers.
